Introduction
I work in IT for a school district. I dont have a lot of experience with drupal but want to learn more. I do program in php and do a lot with databases (SQL server and MySQL)
Do you currently use Drupal? If so, what do you consider your experience level?
I do not use drupal at the moment. my experience level. - a beginner in some ways, but I have used ck, views and build a few (very simple) custom modules. I have a degree in Comp sci for Wayne State
Do you have any web sites that you are responsible for managing or maintaining? If so, what are they?
I do the web programming and assist ini the administration of a resort website - couples.com - which has renetly migrated to LAMp/pHP for a Microsoft SQL server/classic ASP environment
Do you have any upcoming web site projects that you are considering Drupal for?
Yes, 2 One is a site designed to support and facilitate local (offline/RL) political debate and one that is intended to mimic some of the features of a Library automation system but focused for teachers in elementary schools - especially to manage and inventory school bookrooms - probably using the biblio module
Have you used any web content management tools similar to Drupal? If so, what are they?
I've looked at Joomal, but i spend a lot of time using a web development framedwork called Yii.. One of my interests is in learning how to creat sites that utilize the strengths of of Drupal with other systems.
