Introduction
My name is Chris Keller. I have recently been accepted to the Shifting Code program in Ann Arbor and I want to absorb as much Drupal knowledge as my tiny brain can handle!
Do you currently use Drupal? If so, what do you consider your experience level?
I have used Drupal a little bit. I have watched a few video tutorial at Learnable.com and Lynda.com. I don't consider my skill level very high. I can create custom content, use the basic features of Views, use Drush, place blocks in certain locations, and install themes and modules.
Do you have any web sites that you are responsible for managing or maintaining? If so, what are they?
I do maintain a site at my wife's office. It is a custom PHP/MySQL app that I wrote to keep track of their expiring leases. They are a property management company. They have asked me to extend the software a bit and I am thinking of trying to transition it into Drupal!
Do you have any upcoming web site projects that you are considering Drupal for?
I am considering using Drupal for my the company my wife works for. They do property management and I think I could set up a nice interface for them to keep track of work orders, phone calls, and lease info.
Have you used any web content management tools similar to Drupal? If so, what are they?
I have messed with Joomla and Wordpress a bit, but never had a reason to make a real world project with either.
